Happy Birthday Jack!

Before I launch into how adorable Jack is, I want to write a little about why I love photographing children. First of all, babies, toddlers, kids are just so stinkin’ cute. I have always loved kids — I distinctly remember getting to hold my cousin’s new born baby girl, Abby, when I was about eleven and just being captivated by her tiny hands and feet and nose. On that note, children have so much expression in their tiny faces — curiosity, wonder, uninhibited joy. I feel so privileged to be a part of capturing moments in people’s lives and helping to create treasured memories with them.

Now, on to Jack. This was our third session together. This session was distinctly different than the first two, namely because Jack was on the move which meant we were too. We spent the session exploring the square and the area around it. Anything that made Jack happy made us happy. At the end of the session we got out the balloons and the cupcake. There just aren’t that many times in your life when shoving a cupcake in your mouth is cute, but this is definitely one of them. Thank you Stephanie for being a patient mom and a great subject yourself, and thanks to Jack for being so adorable!
