Meet Charlie. He is my new nephew. He is seen here with his big brother, Will. I was so happy I got to visit — Charlie was less than a week old when I met him. A week of snuggling with Charlie and playing with Will is pretty much the best thing on earth though I will admit I was exhausted when I got home!
Meet Brooks – he is the newest addition to my cousin Lindsey’s family. I was so pleased I got to meet Brooks in the fall only a few weeks after he was born – a rare treat for someone who lives four states away from the nearest family member. Big sister Kennedy and big brother Caleb were so proud and gentle with baby Brooks. Check out their great Christmas card too — the copy came from Lindsey and thanks to Vanessa Deshpande for the design. Congratulations Lindsey and Ryan!

I had the pleasure of meeting Hillary, Matt and Alayna in Forsyth park a few weeks ago. Alayna had so much energy and imagination — it is so neat to get a glimpse of the world through a two year old’s eyes — she was able to hear a sleeping elephant and see a little green bug in my camera. I loved all her expressions and watching the family interact together. Thanks Hillary, Matt and Alayna for a fun session!

Perserverance — though this idea of putting the girls on the branch started out with fear and tears — their daddy was able to calm everyone down as they trusted him to keep them safe and I love the way they turned out.

It is so great to be a part of photographing children while they grow — the last time I photographed them Eloise was a newborn and now she is walking around with so much personality while Madeline and Noel as big as ever. This is Kennedy — she loves all things shiny, princesses and dancing but she will also try to do just about anything her older brother, Caleb, does including touching fish. She is the daughter of my amazing cousin, Lindsey, who is currently expecting baby number three. I got to play with Kennedy and Caleb at the lake over Memorial day weekend which was such a treat. This was actually my first time photographing Kennedy and she was a great subject. Thanks to all the family who made this possible.
