Not only was this idea so much fun — going to the stadium, the clothes, the bats and gloves — it was also meaningful to Kimberly & Matt. They have both been playing ball for some time and still play on a softball team together. In fact, they had their engagement party in the stadium where they play. So, yet again… a few perfect props not only made for some fun posing but added meaning to the pictures as well. This definitely made me one happy photographer.

I met Avery last year – she was a student in my photography class for Savannah Christian Preparatory School’s art week. I knew that she was a dancer and as I have a special place in my heart for all the years I spent dancing I was super excited about photographing her dancing. I also love the idea of doing senior portraits outside of the box. Thanks Avery for being great to work with and easy to photograph — you are a beautiful dancer!

Katie is a good friend who actually assists me on occassion — I was so excited when she told me all her mom wanted for Christmas was portraits of her children who live all across the globe. I knew the session had to showcase both Katie’s gorgeous face and demeanor and Savannah’s historic charm. Katie is currently pursuing a fibers major at SCAD and you can purchase some of her work at The Wooden Sheep.

I had the pleasure of meeting Hillary, Matt and Alayna in Forsyth park a few weeks ago. Alayna had so much energy and imagination — it is so neat to get a glimpse of the world through a two year old’s eyes — she was able to hear a sleeping elephant and see a little green bug in my camera. I loved all her expressions and watching the family interact together. Thanks Hillary, Matt and Alayna for a fun session!
